this is documented....and is a recent thing. when IE connects it sends and receives stuff from microsofts web page. microsofts web page has been sending out strange things lately (go figure). to kill the problem, clear your cache, delete your prefs and/or move to netscape. <br />

I haven't gone directly to a Microsoft website in quite awhile. &nbsp;It sounds like it could be a solution considering that nothing conventional worked. &nbsp;I subscribe to Microsoft IE newsletter and haven't heard of this problem. &nbsp;Is there some on-line documentation? &nbsp;I cleared the cache and removed all Microsoft cookies and rebuilt the desktop and this solved the problem for for two boot-ups, but it's back again.<br />

Suddenly, everytime it reaches out to get a page on the web it crashes and Norton tells me its an "unmapped memory exception".  I have reinstalled and deactivated all plug-ins, Java and ActiveX controls.  Still get the message.  Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance. . .

Explorer Memory Exception

Web Components are a set of standards currently being produced by Google engineers as a W3C specification that allow for the creation of reusable widgets or components in web documents and web applications. The intention behind them is to bring component-based software engineering to the World Wide Web. The components model allows for encapsulation and interoperability of individual HTML elements. Support for Web Components is present in Chrome and Opera and is in Firefox (with a manual configuration change). Microsoft's Internet Explorer has not implemented any Web Components specifications yet. Web Components consist of 4 main elements: Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, HTML Imports and HTML Templates.

Apple's early computers ran on a variety of operating systems, including a Pascal version and one based on CP/M, before releasing its ProDOS with the advent of its 16-bit computer. With the release of the Lisa, which had its own OS, Apple and computing entered the graphical age; it was followed by the Macintosh, which offered a series of "System" operating systems. Other Mac operating systems included PowerPC until Apple acquired NeXT and folded it into the Mac OS. Current operating systems for Apple devices are Mac OS-X and iOS.
