Adding users to Apache server

I got my server runing with test web page do I have to add user with home dir same as web server so I can be able to update web pages using ftp. Is there any way to give some user they own web page?

Don't give your httpd server to a user... he can always publish with ftp://your.host.com/home/httpd/html/... You better create a new group for "web publishers" and give /home/httpd/html to this group and write permissions to the group. Then give this group as additional to the users who can publish... That will do the trick
