ATI All-in-wonder PRO Locks Up PC

I have just installed an ATI All-in-wonder PRO PCI card into my PC. I run Windows 98 and I installed the latest driver and ATI Player from the ATI web page. After random amounts of time the PC just locks up when I'm using it (not necessarily any ATI programs being run). Can't use ctrl-alt-del at all. Have to reboot the PC. I have checked the seating of the card in it's socket as suggested in the help file but the problem won't go away. Any ideas?

Does Device Manager show any problems?

If not,try 640 X 480 X 16 - if lockups cease,the card may have bad video ram.

Try Display Properties - Settings - Advanced - Performance - Hardware Acceleration

Try the Win98 driver (if that's the one for your card)

Try a different PCI slot (especially if this isn't the slot the old card was in)

Lastly, put the old card back in - if problems persist, something else (ram?) got jostled when you installed the new card.
