UNIX Best Practices
I am looking for info (books, forums, etc) concerning "Best Practices for UNIX HP-UX (10.0+) & Oracle 7.3+ . Areas of interest include capacity management, process/methodology to support co-existence testing of applicatons on a single server, consolidation of servers, etc. Of special interest is a process/framework to capture application/information growth and translate that into a capacity model which would then feed into to capital requirements for upgrades to the network, servers, disk, etc.
Unfortunately I have not found a book like this either.
However, I have a book called "Configuration and Capacity Planning for Solaris Servers" that can be applied to HP-UX. ISBN= 0-13-349952-9
Also, check out O'Reilly's "Oracle Performance Tuning"
ISBN=1-56592-237-9
I have been able to use these books across many UNIX platforms.
