VB and the Web

I have to learn VB. I nothing about it.Is it easy to learn?
I need to run some VB application from the Web. Is that possible and how difficult it is. I appreciate your details.

See its depends on you. Its not tough to learn, beacuase all the comfort you can think, are avilable, you need not to remember parameters function name etc. every thing is available online.
    You can run VB Applicatuion from web as well for that you can create Vb Document which can be open by Internet explorer.Apart from that you can develope ActiveX controls as well which can be used in Web Pages.

I used to program in Pascal,fortran, C and some other languages. I have a short time to finish a project. How much time do I need to know VB  (is it a matter days, weeks or maybe months and which one you recommend if there are many compilers. Please give me your recommendations. Thanks

What these extension such as OCX that are mentioned always with VB. Are they extensions or accessories or they are part of the language itself. Thanks
