Cell borders

I am using Front Page 98 and I am importing an Excel 97 file into it.  When the table is created it looks fine in te design mode, but when I go to preview it using a web browser the empty cells have no borders.  How can I have borders in empty cells?

When a browser displays tables, in order for you to see a border around a cell, you need this cell to contain something (other then nothing or space).
To fix this, you can do two things:
1. in every empty cell, press enter so as to create a new line. when the exporter sees that it will probably generate "<br>" in that cell (a break line html command)
2. go into the html file, and in the empty cells, between the "<td...>" and the "</td>" type "<br>". this should look like: "<td...><br></td>"
Hope that solves your problem

better use &nbsp; is stead of <br>, because you might not want to add another line.

&nbsp; = non-breaking space

pressing "enter" in frontpage produces a "<p>", not a "<br>"
for "<br>" press Shift-Enter
