It costs £200, and I love the following about it:
it automatically sense the region to scan, it is fast and gives good image quality for a relatively low price"

£200 = ? USD. Sorry...

Have you had any experience with other scanners, like AGFA and ACER? What do you think, and how are the prices comparing to yours?

£200 is about $300 but consumer prices are usually better in the US, so it is hard to compare

If you don't have a lot of experience with them - try going to compusa web site.  they have a discount warehouse and i bought a great one scans upto letter size, 720 dpi, etc for 49 dollars.
www.compusa.com  then click on discount.  they have different items everyday.

I DON’T regret buying the Mustek III EP scanner.
   It costs $139, and I love the following about it:
  .It's fast as hell, scans at resolutions from  72dpi to 9600dpi, scales from 100% to 600%, came with decent and easily understandable software, and has worked like a trooper, dozens of scans a day for the last 9 months without a single problem of any kind.
