QReport and title band

I have a program with several reports.  Every report has the same title band.  When I change something to the title band, I have to do the same work in all the reports.  That is a lot of work and there is the risk of forgetting something.

How can I organise my reports so that a change in the title band is instantly visible in all the reports ?  What I need is some kind of "template".  Any ideas ?

Thank you.

walter.

You can create a form, and design a report component on it,
with only the title band you want.

Then let other report forms derive from that form.

ps, at least work well in D3.

Could you give some more information because it's not clear to me how this can be done visually.

How can I derive a form in a visual way (I know how to do it by writing code, but that is certainly not a good solution).

If you are using Delphi3/4, just open your project,
create the form with the title band report,
then chose file-new...

In the "new" dialog, select the page that is your project name. For example, there will be pages as form, datamodule, ..., also there should be a page of your project's name.

select the form (with the report) in that page, then
chose OK(because only inherit can be performed on an
existing form).

In previuod versions of Delphi, this way may not work very well.

Good luck.
