Lost password for At Ease

I have a used performa 575 which is has At Ease installed and it is password protected, so that I cannot access the finder.  The computer is totally useless to me without some way to bypass the password access to the finder.  So basically I need some way to hack At Ease.  If you have ethical problems providing this sort of info, I will accept an answer that provides me substantial information of a legitimate way to solve this problem.  Thanks

Open the machine. Disconnect the power cable from the HD. Boot the machine from a CD. Open the Startup Disk Control Panel and select the CD as Startup Disk. Shutdown the machine. Reconnect the HD. Reboot. Find the Extension on the HD called AtEase Startup. Take it out of the System Folder. Select the HD as Startup Disk. Reboot.

I couldn't actually test your advice because I still don't have a startup disk that will boot my computer.
