When I try to use the launcher I get a system message that error 39 has occurred?  How can I fix this?

Do you have a lot of programs accessed through the Launcher?  Try increasing the memory alloted to the Launcher.  Do this by single-clicking on the Launcher and choosing "Get Info" from the "File" menu.
