Asking the protected-mode driver of CD-ROM

I have a CD-ROM of SAMSUNG SCR631

Because I want use Java. The Microsoft  tell me
the protected-mode CD-ROM driver needed.

I aware of the site of
www.sosimple.com/service/bbs.htm

But I am not sure which one is the protected driver
for CD-ROM of SCR631.

Thanks in advance.

The driver is found here:

http://www.eastgatemicro.com/support/drivers.htm

However, there is an error on the page, so enter in this address, and you will be able to dload the driver.

ftp://www.eastgatemicro.com/driver/cdrom/scr631.exe

I noticed that this CD ROM is a 4x. Is this true? The reason why I ask is because this drive is outdated, and some programs may not run on this drive, because they require at least 20 speed.

Nonetheless, let me know what happens

Good Luck

Jhance: it is supposed to be a CD rom, not hard drive.

Nightingale: The page is straightforward on sosimple. just dload the scr631.exe file.

Like I said before, the documentation on this CDROM says that it is a 4x CD. There may not be a 32-bit driver. If scr631 is a real mode driver, and does not contain a scr631.inf file.

I am saying that as a precaution, but nonetheless, scr631.exe is the file you need.

j_powers, look at the page.  Even though it says HARD DRIVE, the CDROM drivers are there.  I didn't name the page, I just posted the reference!!!
