Sending email through perl

I am _VERY_ new to perl, and am wanting to have my web page
send an email to me when a user submits a form.  I want the user to enter his or her email address in an INPUT in the FORM on one page.  When the form is submitted to some file (let's call it handleForm.pl), I want perl to email me at myaddress@mydomain.com with the following syntax:

Subject: Email Address
Body:  Here is a new email address:  /* print the email address that the user entered back on the form */

Like I said, I am really new to this, so I need a good explanation and code.  Pseudocode won't do it!  Thanks!

Matt Kruse's mailer.cgi, one of his skillions of freely-distributed scripts, was (a) what I originally borrowed and modified to do exactly what you want to do, and (b) the starting point for how I taught myself how to use Sendmail in other ways.

The last email address I saw for Matt was mkruse@saunix.sau.edu. A web search on Perl will take you to archives containing his scripts -- and probably to a site of his own where this and other scripts will be available. Best use of that script though: use it to teach yourself how to use Sendmail with Perl scripts.
