Why don`t my Compaq Presario 4505 with win95 setup my new ram?(128 pin)32 mb.

More info pls. Does your CMOS-settup show your RAM, what other RAM is installed, any error messages,... ?

Strange that no error messages apeare. I know that some old Compaq PCs had problems with RAMs not sold by compaq. Maybe you must enter your CMOS-Setup do install the new RAM. Can you pls post the technical description (speed,...) of both RAMs (16MB, 32MB). Maybe there is a timing problem.
