practicing CGI

Hi there,
I wanna learn CGI and PERL...but i dont know how I can use CGI cause i heard that you requires a webserver or something like this for running CGI scripts....

I have window's 95 and frontpage '98 installed in my system...so can u give me the idea how can i learn and practice on my PC without the real private domain...or where can I get the utilities...i dont know anything about this CGI stuff...so please help me and tell me what are the steps...?
what programs I need to practice on CGI ?
or is it free to download or where can I get ?
I will aprreciate your help..

Download and Install webserver fro Win95, which support Perl CGI
like O'Reylly Website Pro(available at http://website.oreilly.com/)
30 day trial available for free, support Perl, M$ ASP, JScript (it's will be enough for you)

Another good weserver for newbies is ILAR's FolkWeb server (i think you can found it on www.ilar.com)

And read articles on Perl and CGI at
http://www.hotwired.com/webmonkey/perl/?tw=perl
and http://www.wdvl.com/Authoring/Scripting/

Also take a good book like Randal Shwartz's "Learning perl" published by ORA
