How can I add a Default printer to NT4, either during Unattended or in a logonscript to a NT-Workstation.
The users have there LPTx printer from logonscript and Net Use...., and I want the LPT1 printer to be DefaultPrinter.
The Printserver is OS/2 so CON2PRT.EXE dosen't work.

Hi,
there are Tools for unattended installation of local printer from Jeff Harris. ( http://maxx.mc.net/~jlh/ ore http://maxx.mc.net/cgi-bin/jlh/download )

See for: mkprtdrv.exe and mkprt.exe

To install a local Canon LPT-4 Printer unattended on a NT-WS I run the following script during the setup:

copy .\rasdd.dll %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\
copy .\canonlbp.dll %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\
copy .\rasddui.dll %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\

\mkprtdrv.exe -n "Canon LBP-4" -d rasdd.dll -t canonlbp.dll -c rasddui.dll
\mkprt.exe -d "Canon LBP-4" -n "Canon LBP-4" -r LPT1:

Hope this helps
cbo
