Presently, I have a HP DeskJet 400 printer connected to my computer.  I bought a HP DeskJet 712C and I want to also connect it to this computer.  What's the best way to accomplish this?  PC runs Windows 95.

Did you consider to use a DataSwitch box ?
connecting one printer to A and the other to B and sending to the printer you want,
this will be the most simple / costeffective way
