WIN 98 starting disk

If I reformat my hard drive, will a win98 starting disk be able to boot my computer so I can get to a promt to reinstall Win 98? (I have the OEM cd)

Yes you can.  Or if your motherboard supports CD boot, then the OEM Win98 is bootable, just go into Cmos and change the settings to CD, C, A or whatever.
