I am having a night-mare with my application. You see my View class is a sub-class of CScrollView. I have created an interface similar to spread-sheets using CRect class. My probleam is that I want the IDC_IBEAM cursor to be shownwhen text is entered to the CRect class, just like when the View class is a sub-class of CEditView.

I cannot change the inheritance to CEditView as the application has reached a level of complexity where-by changing this would mean re-doing the whole application again.

Please help, I have a serious time schedule, the project deadline is very near.

Override OnSetCursor(), check where the cursor is positioned and set change the cursor's shape if it's in one of the rect regions.
