lost stickies preferences

i erased the stickies preferences. by mistake. i think thats why stickies saves the notes as simpletext files. can i download new preferences from somewhere? i have a i mac so i cant  bring any new ones on a disk. i have the imac software restore cd , but i would like not to have to use it. is there a easy way to get the stickies to work ? please help.

Not to sound insulting, but since when does any program need it's initial prefs file to function, especially an Apple program like Stickies? Have you tried just running the program?
