Why won't Apple send me my money?

December 1997 I bought a Mac6500-PowerPC, w/printer & monitor as a package deal for $2529.54 plus software for $64.04 with a rebate of $200.00 on package whitch I submitted on January 1998.  As of this date no reimbursement on rebate.  Have written numerous letters & E-mail with no response, including letters sent to Steven Jobs, CEO of Apple Computers!  WHY?  Can anyone out there help me please?<kennake@thegrid.net>

This seems very unusual. I have never known Apple to do a thing like this. My ideas would be to call Apple Support (1-800-SOS-APPL), write more letters and e-mail (like you didn't do enough of that already :-) ), post the question on a mailing list which Apple monitors (one I know of is the Open Transport list hosted by Stairways Software. Quinn the Eskino (of Apple Developer Services) might be able to help you; he regularly monitors that list.), and try any other method of Internet contact available.

Superior storage. Superior surveillance.

WD Purple drives are built for 24/7, always-on, high-definition security systems. With support for up to 8 hard drives and 32 cameras, WD Purple drives are optimized for surveillance.

I agree; it's nice to have a friend out on the Inet :-). BTW, I highly recommend ICQ (www.icq.com) for Internet communication. It's very useful for keeping in touch. The only problem is that their Mac version is so buggy I could write it better in two days :-). Okay, it's not THAT bad, but it does need work. (Not that the IBM version is any party either :-) But what IBM app is? :-) ).

I fight the platform war with a vengance. You have no idea how much I've struggled with Win32 programming APIs and how simple I find it (in comparison) to use the Mac Toolbox APIs. Especially Carbon. (Okay, that probably means nothing at all to you, but I'm a programmer :-) ). You're in my email address book :-).
