can't use a UNION in a VIEW - workaround ?

In Sybase 11 I can't use UNION selects (6) in a VIEW.
Anybody an idea to work around that ?

I recently posted a method of faking a view containing UNIONs (based on proxy tables in ASE 11.5) to comp.databases.sybase, you can find it if you go to http://www.dejanews.com and search for "~g comp.databases.sybase union view bret"

As written, it only works for "select *" with no where clause against the view.
