I've been using PS for a couple of years, but up until
today have not touched WMF's.
Is there an import/export for PS and WMF format?
I *could* re-install Paintshop....

For what, or rather why do you need to save as WMF? Is it for powerpoint or some other package?

WMF files are vector images, not compatible with a bitmap editing program such as Photoshop. The only vector format that Photoshop supports is EPS (and Illustrator). To import a WMF file you'll need to convert it to a supported format by opening it in Corel Draw! or Illustrator and then saving it as an EPS file.

Alternatively, you can open it in Corel Draw! and export it as a bitmap file such as TIFF or BMP, which Photoshop can open easily.

The statement that the wmf is a vector format is NOT completely true. The WMF file could contain a bitmap (24bit).
One program that could do the conversion easily is Corel Photopaint (You could use also CorelDraw). They will handle the wmf no matter if it is bitmap or vector format.
