Running script without reloading form

I have a form with two main sections: one for registration data and one for comments.

I would like the user to be able to submit comments independently of registration. i.e. if a user is having trouble registering he/she can enter a comment, click a Submit Comment button and it will be e-mailed without reloading/refreshing the page, similar to the way that a Reset button resets the form without reloading it. I want
the mailing to be completely transparent to the user.

Is there any way to do this with cgi, or will I have to
use something else like javascript?

Thanks.

You can't e-mail any data without submittting the page as you do with Reset button. This is because you've to use some application from server side to send the e-mail which requires a request from the user in the form of submission. For your task, I can suggest you one way. Put registration part and Comments part in seperate frames(you can set border '0' and can make both the frames look like contained in one page). Then you can control both the parts independently. If a user submit any comment, process it on server side to send the email(without disturbing registration part at all)

Thanks rajgn, I had thought of the frames solution myself but
I want to avoid using frames. Anyway, now that I know it can't
be done with a cgi script I can stop rattling my brain about it,
and consider the frames option some more.
