I want to have a "newsgroup" on my personal web page.  I'm working on a project with some friends and I want a place where we can have discussion "threads" on various topics.  It would be cool to write something in Delphi to do this...but I don't know where to start.

I'm giving you the points, but which component is best for doing a newsgroup (where I can have discussion threads and the like).

Thanks,

Tom

Hi knowIton,

You better use this component for newsgroups :

http://www.rtfm.be/fpiette/icsuk.htm

But even better is downloading the whole ICS package. It's cardware, so you only have to send a postcard to the other and then you're registered.

If you download the ICS package you also got this program with source : NewsRdr. Which is a basic newsreader using TNntpCli component.

Next go to this page and read how to subscribe to the thread :

http://www.rtfm.be/fpiette/supportuk.htm

Then, you can read already all posted questions/Answers per month. Or just ask how to use the component to enhance your program.

Regards, Zif.
