How can i access an MsAccess database through Perl in Window NT 4.0 system

You need to do two things:

1.  Install NT's ODBC driver if you haven't already.
2.  Download and install the Win32::ODBC module from the
    following website:

        http://www.roth.net/odbc/

Once you have done this, create an ODBC connection for your database and interface with it using the perl module.  Installation and usage instructions are available on the page mentioned above (along with a test/demo database in the download package.)

Hi Bonger,

The things is how to write the module to enable me to connect and able to read and display the data in the Msaccess file. Please enlighten or help me by writing out the program. My OS is NT

Hi roger1,

Win32::ODBC is a perl module that provides you with an object
oriented library of methods that you can use to read and
write information to your database, formulate and execute
complex SQL queries, and much much more.  All the information you need is on the website in the form of instructions, FAQ's, PowerPoint slides, etc.  There is no point to me describing the methods used to open, modify, and query the database, since it is already documented on this site.
