how can i download the scanned barcode's data from the tracker directly into my delphi application ?

No, things are not that easy. We must know how the data are transfered from the DDE server, the EXE name, the DDE topic/item, and the data format. These information should be provided by the manual of the software/hardware.

Just put a DdeClientConv and a DdeClientItem on the form, Set the ddeconv property of the DdeClientItem component to DdeClientConv.

Then you can just execute DdeClientConv.SetLink('ICW','DATA') (normally DATA topic is the one responsable for data trsnferring).

When data is transfer the from the server, the onchange event of ddeclientitem will be called, so you should qrite statements there to read the text/lines of the ddeclientitem for the data.

However, as I remembered, there should be an item property of DDE server, maybe you could check it out. If there is, it should be put to the ddeitem property of the ddeclientitem component.
