I did something magical with the configurations of my CD-Rom under Win95 and the system no longer recognizes it.  I've done the Add new hardware and it doesn't see it.  Since I can't reload without the Cd-rom, how do you ever get past this.  PS:  I won't buy a new computer for it either.

kydgfi,
What type of CDROM do you have?
It should be easy to set it up once we know more about what we're working with.
(.....no purchase necessary)  :-)

If it is an IDE CD-ROM, first - backup registry files, run regedit, choose edit, search for "noide" and if found - delete the reference. Reboot and all should be ok.

Better audio for more successful meetings

Challenge: S&ME was tired of poor audio quality of Skype for Business calls in mid-sized meeting and training rooms. They were looking for a reliable and cost efficient solution to replace the existing conferencing system.

I'm traveling right now and not able to try out this solution.  However as I've tried to select several different drivers for the CD-ROM within the add new hardware process and had no response, this makes sense as to why it didn't matter which selection I made.

Thanks

Actually, the drive would still operate in real mode with the correct driver.
There are many CD-ROM types out there other than IDE.
(That's why I asked you for what we're working with)
You have accepted a guess for an answer.
Come back, though, if you need more help.

Hi Ralph:

It is an IDE CD-Rom and thats why I accepted.  However, I'll be back if it doesn't work out.  I'll be checking it this coming weekend.

Thanks
