Duke Nukem 3d - Creating RTF files Using .WAV does not work for me.

I tried creating my own RTF file to be used in Duke nukem but it does not work.  I used SoundRecorder to generate the .WAV files and packaged them using the supplied RTSMAKER.  It generated the RTS file with no error messages.  I tried loading this on both the HOST and CLIENT systems, but no sound comes out.  Am I missing something...  should I have generated the RTS using .VOC files and if so how do I create a .VOC file.
Thanks

The RTS files were loaded on both systems.  In the Setup, the new RTS file appeared in the RTS file option menu.  I selected it for both systems.

yes, you should use .voc-files, Duke Nukem 3d doesn't recognize .Wav-files, you can make .voc-files of your .wav-files by using a utility called wav2voc.exe
you can find this util at:

Is it just me or is the comment on why you rejected my answer the same as the comment just above it? have you really tried it?
if you have and it still doesn't work, get duke nukem 3d build and learn how to work with it...

You can generate RTS files with RTSMAKER which contain WAV files, this doesn't mean
that it will work, you really have to use voc's if then it still doesn't work: there are more editors for DUKE 3D, like build, you can probably find it somewhere out there
