Use CStatic Class
in the init Dialog you add this (suppose you defined a instance
of CStatic which named staPic as a member of View Class)

InitDialog(...)
{
 staPic.Create(...);
 CBitmap bm;
 bm.LoadBitmap(IDB_LOGO);
 staPic.SetBitmap(bm.Detach());
}

Damn... I thought I deleted this question.. oh well..
thanks I didnt know that you could do it that way.  i got it to work using the developer studio ide and adding a picture control to the form. My problem was that my .bmp wasnt 256 colors..  but it works now.

Im going tot give you the points anyways because its only fair.
