I've misplaced my 3D Studio Max r1.2 authorization key. Where can I get a new one or how can I overcome the problem?

You will have to contact Kinetix at 415-547-2000
or www.ktx.com. If you are talking about the authroization code you received when installing, have your Max serial and hardware lock number ready. They will e-mail a auth code.

If we are talking about your hardware lock, (the blue, white, or red Sentinel key that went on your parallel port) that is touchy. You would have had to register with Kinetix and they will have a record of this. They may make you return the cd and then issue a new copy of Max and a key.

The bummer is, you can't reinstall without the auth code, and if its the hardware lock, you can't run Max without it.

Thanks a lot oozinsuzn, I think that may help, there is only one problem, I only have de software serial number, I don't have any hardlock number. I'll try contacting Kinetix and see how they help me. Thanks again.
