urgent: a date class

what is the best way to implement dates in a C++ project. I want to be able to do arithmetic operations on date objects as well as input and output them (user interaction).

this is fine. I have so many points anyway that I do not know what to do with them. Can I contact you if I have some more questions.
I will look into the source now and if I have questions I shall post them here.
