Outlook takes too long to access with Server

We have outlook 97 and Exchange Server 5.5, some computers pull up outlook fast others takes 4 to 5 minutes to pull up. Example: One computer was working great until we brought the server down. After bringing the server backup. some computers worked great others took a long time to access outlook, although nothing changed on the server and all services were re-started.

Joe2000,
There's a great article about this issue on www.winntmag.com. The article's title is: OPTIMIZE OUTLOOK ON EXCHANGE this was in the September 1998 issue of Windows NT magazine. It's got to do with Outlooks binding order (don't confuse it with the network's binding order). Read this article carefully, you will need to make some changes to registry. Check also that you are resolving IP to netbios names correctly - that if you are using IP.
