scanner mustek 1200 plug-n-ready III ps

finally got printer port,and printer to work..but the image will not show up in preview or scan..it looks like diagonal lines, back and forth, back and forth..like a tv.
it is parrel scanner..pent 75,win95,16mb ram

any suggestion on how to make it work

What resolution are you scanning the picture in at? It sounds like you need to drop the resolution a hair and try again.

you must have ecp printer port
you can check the type of port from w95 with control panel/system/device manager/ports, and there you have to see 'ECP printer port', not 'printer port'.
If you have AWARD BIOS, reboot and modify cmos settings (press del at startup), then 'integrated peripherals', find the settings for the LPT and change with ECP/EPP

reply i wentinto the bios and changed it to epp...but it is still doing the same...i get theses lines with preview or scan...using the image software provided with the scaner...ulead 4.oplus

thks anyways..we tried two of them and jus took it back...the scanner suckss
