Tool Tips problem

Our application is a SDI.  We display tool tips in the client area.  We use CToolTipCtrl class for the tool tip display.  Everything is fine until a dialog box is popped.  Once a dialog box( say any dialog box like about etc.,) is displayed and closed the tool tip is not at all displayed.  In the create function of the CToolTipCtrl it is said that the handle to the window should be usually a dialog.  But for us it is CSrollView.
But the same works when we the Win32 calls like CreateWindowEx and sendMessage for the tool tip.

Override the PreTranslateMessage virtual member function using ClassWizard; call the Activate member function of your CToolTipCtrl, and then the RelayEvent member function. There is a Knowledge Base article about this (Q143313).
