Win 98 lockups

I upgraded a computer to Win98. It went fine for a few days but now when ever the power saver shuts the screen down the computer goed to blue screen and locks up. Main programs on macine are Office 95,Word 97, Supervoice for receiving faxes and bitware as needed to send faxes. Also photoshop.Grant

Sounds like you might need a BIOS update.
The powersaving of the screen should not cause blue screens but power management of the PC would. Check the BIOS settings to ensure only the screen drops to powersave mode.
Either that or disable the BIOS powersaver and Advanced Power Management settings and just run with a screen saver.

You might check to see if your computer is supported by Windows 98.  Go to www.microsoft.com/hwtest/hcl.

I agree with linschoten, this sounds like a BIOS problem.  Check with your computer manufacturer to see if they have a BIOS update for Windows 98.
