DOA/JET db engine

At times When I try to enter a site, I get the message: "can not intialize Dao/jet engine.  How can I initialize it?  How do I know I even have it, or if it is damaged.  I search genealogy pages a lot as I'm adopted and they are frequently  updated.  Does that have anything to do with my initializing problem?   Thank you very much. (this is cool)
If there is anyway to get it from the net, Please tell me how.  Thanks again Sharon2849@aol.com

Let me know if I can help further.
