I've found the error Message "error attaching to SGA" And "SGA not initialized"

I've just install the oracle 7.3.4 for Nt It work well Until I install the oracle webserver version 3.0
I've set the configuration for single node and I can browse the database from it's administration page but now I can't do it and I can't login fron sql*Plus it show the error message
"    ERROR: ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-09243: smsget: error attaching to SGA
OSD-04101: invalid SGA: SGA not initialized    "
What is "SGA" and what can i do?

This only means your oracle service and Database is not started. Go to your start
menu , settings, control panel ,services and there you'll see listed two services
OracleserviceORCL and OraclestartOrcl. If you startup oraclestartORCL both will start
automatically. This will give you access to Oracle Database.

P.S Regarding your question on the Error message -
ERROR: ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-09243: smsget: error attaching to SGA
OSD-04101: invalid SGA: SGA not initialized    "

SGA - is the memory that is allocated to Oracle. This is the Shared Global Area. This
says that the SGA is not initialised which is done at Oracle Startup time.  So just starting up the services on NT will solve this problem.

If you require more help please post.

Here is some documentation on the System Global Area  - SGA..

SGA and Oracle processes constitute an Oracle instance. Oracle automatically allocates
memory for an SGA when you start an instance and the operating system reclaims the memory when you shut down the instance. Each instance has its own
SGA.

The SGA is read-write; all users connected to a multiple-process database instance may read information contained within the instance's SGA, and several
processes write to the SGA during execution of Oracle.

The SGA contains the following data structures:

     the database buffer cache
     the redo log buffer
     the shared pool
     the data dictionary cache
     other miscellaneous information

Part of the SGA contains general information about the state of the database and the instance, which the background processes need to access; this is called
the fixed SGA. No user data is stored here.

The SGA also includes information communicated between processes, such as locking information.

If the system uses multithreaded server architecture the request and response queues, and some contents of the program global areas, are in the SGA.

Thanks.
