Its probably a MIME format email attachment - your email client would normally display this for you. Its probably been saved as a MIME file from an email. You could try opening it with you email client or perhaps send it as an attachment to an email client that support MIME encoded email..

Of course it may be something else, but that's what it sounds like.

Do tou have e-mail software? What program do you use? MIME is an encoded e-mail message, and can usually be opened with current versions of Netscape Messenger or Collabra, or Windows Messaging.
