Hi, I developed a screen saver using DirectX, under Win95 and everything was Ok.  I installed it in win98 and it ran perfectly, but when I installed it in a WinNT, it just didn't run.  I installed the directx dll's but it still failed to run.

Can some one help me out please?

Hi pbk,

NT 4.0 doesn't support DirectX.

(It supports directx 3, but it's quite old now)

What you can do is install the unoficial NT DirectX libraries, and try it out.  Many things don't work with it, but some others do.  That will depend on how complex your directx code is.

The filename is NT4DX5.zip (DirectX 5 dlls)

You can download it from the web, but I don't remember the URL.

if you send me an email, I'll reply with an attachment containing the file.

regards,

jorge
