Can i install IIS(InternetInformationServer),MTS(Microsoft
TransactionServer)on a Windows'98 machine?if not what is the altenative?

You can install the Personal Web server kit from the Win98 CD. It is located in the ADMIN directory I think. This will also install the transaction software.
You can also install the options from Microsoft Frontpage 98
