Which system software are you running on the Plus?<br />
The later Plusses were equiped with superdrives.<br />
Insert a floppy, select it in the Finder and choose format. There should be a pull down menu in the appearing dialog window that allows you to format as Mac, DOS and ProDos.<br />

If you have a modem hanging around, then also that old Plus of yours is Internet capable. God, isn't Mac great?<br />
