I loaded OS X Server Beta on my machine and now I want to get rid of it and reclaim the hard drive space. My drive is a 6 GB IDE drive formatted with HDT 2.5.2. I can see the 2 partitions using HDT 2.5.3, and I can select them, but 'delete' is the only button that is active when they are selected, and when I hit delete, nothing happens. Help!

At this point, due to the nature of Beta software, particularly server software, I would suggest a low-level format, re-partition and re-installation of the software to completely rid yourself of the undesired partitions; you could also try a newer version of FWB's HDT software.

I backed up my entire drive and reformatted using drive setup 1.5 to 2 partitions HFS + . The partitions appeared and I restarted. But now the IDE drive doesn't show up AT ALL, even with drive setup 1.6.1 for HDT 3.0.1. Am I the victim of the "OS 8.5 Disk Damage" problem, or does this have something to do w/ OS X and reformatting. I can pose this as a separate question if you know the answer and want points.
