info on how to develop plug-ins for photoshop

I wonder if anyone knows where I can find infor on how to develop plug-ins for adobe photoshop? thank you.

Yeah, what sakee says is correct. You need to use the Photoshop SDK (Software Development Kit) in order to create Photoshop Plugins. Its a PDF file (If I remember correctly) which shows you all the ways you must code the plugin etc... To be able to properly create plugins, you mmust have a powerful language as your mother-toungue, such as C++. If you dont know C++, so Its gonna be a difficult time trying to make them.

If anybody knows a way I can make plugins without knowing C++, PLEASE REPLY TO ME!!!!

I don't know if this is what you mean, but here are two ways of making FILTERS: Firstly, you can go to FILTERS>OTHER>CUSTOM in the filter menu. There you will find a matrix in which you insert numerical values. you can use both positive(i.e. 9) or negative (i.e. -9)numbers. I have messed around and came up with some pretty cool stuff. Then save the filter and it will be in the FILTERS>OTHER>CUSTOM menu.
Another thing you might want to try is the FILTER FACTORY. You can reach it from the Adobe web site. There you will find not only tons of filters but the filter factory program which enables you to make your own filters. I hope this helps you a little. Good Luck

Check out the Photoshop 4.0 SDK which you can from the URL below. You will need to have C++ to use this. There is also extensive documentation included in the zip. Hope this helps...

The Photoshop SDK can also be found on the PS5 CD.  Yup, Adobe put it on there for free.  Don't even think about programming your own in anything but C or C++ .. either will work fine.

Filter Factory is a powerful, abeit clumbsy and limited deal.  Anything you can do with this has been done, and better than you can do it.  KPT Convolver is this idea on steroids .. and "filter effects" is pretty thoroughly plowed ground.

The SDK gives you much more access and potential power but, it is only for experienced C programmers .. familiar with PS is a big plus too.  

Otherwise, look to buy instead.  Vendors are spending a fortune in development these days.

if u don't know about writing the plugins , u can learn it, becasuse inside adobe SDK there is many tutorials abnout developing plugins
