I keep most of my photo files on floppys. Why is it that sometimes a thumbnail appears on the bottom of the file screen when you click it once and sometimes (mostly) it does not. Question is how can I make this happen all the time?

the thumbnail will only appear if the image is saved with thumbnail. to do so

when you save the image, tick the "save thumbnail" when you save.

or if you want to save the thumbnail every time when you save, choose "file" -> "preference" ->
"saveing files" at " image previews" choose " always save".
