I have civ. 2 for windows 95 and i was trying to play it on windows 98. i can start the game ok, but once i get a civilization advancement, it messes up. it says:
A fatal exception 0E has occured at O15F:BFF9DBA7 and i have to start windows over. Is there anyway to fix this or can i just not use the game on windows 98?

Check that you have the latest version of the program. You can download v2.42 from Microprose's web site. If that doesn't help you could try and reinstall WinG and the Indeo drivers from the CD Rom. The chances are that it will be something to do with them.

I did both of those, but neither of them worked.  What I did do was just run it off of the cd, and that worked. It's slower, but at least I can play it without having to do anything in depth.  Thanks for the help.

Do you have your WinG drivers installed?
