DataSource With DML sql Statement

instead of using the Datasource property AddNew,Delete,Update.can i supply the insert,update or delete sql statement to Datasource control ?

You can only apply SQL statement to TQuery component.

yes....then can i apply DML to Tquery ?

Sorry for the delay, you can apply any kind of SQL statements to a tquery, for example, a DML statement:

myQuery.SQL.Text:='insert into mytable values(fieldsval1,fieldval2,...)'
