Try this (from an example in my CDPLAYER.INI file)

with TIniFile.Create('C:\Windows\CDPLAYER.INI') do
  try
    WriteInteger('2D17961','EntryType', 1);
    WriteString('2D17961, 'artist', 'New Artist');
    WriteString('2D17961, 'title', 'New Title');
    WriteInteger('2D17961', 'numtracks', 20);
    WriteString('2D17961, 'order', '');
    WriteInteger('2D17961', 'numplay', 0);
  finally
    Free;
  end;

Cheers,

Raymond

Look at the ReadString etc methods of TIniFile. Basically do the same in my code but use the read methods instead of the write methods.

Cheers,

Raymond.
