One solution is to bring the Notes server up and then have your users e-mail themselves the messages they want to keep.  The other solution is a suite of mail migration tools developed by Binary Tree.  Lotus has just purchased this suite and will be marketing them with the new releases.

Sales oriented ?  if you want to migrate, you have to use a tool, unless you want to copy and paste everybody's messages from their old mail files into Notes!! - I know from  cc:Mail to Notes - a migration tool is provided by Lotus. You could check to see if they have other free migration tools you can use - if not, you will have to buy one, unfortunately.
