Animation software

Im looking for a program that does animation,
perhaps along the lines of MICROSOFT 3D ANIMATOR,
something that doesnt require drawing each new
frame from scratch.

Here is what im running
200 MMX K-AMD
64 MB RAM
Blaster Banshee (16 MB of VRAM)
SOUND BLASTER 16-BIT
WIN 95

Price doesnt matter.
Can anyone suggest some good titles?
Thanx

The best one is 3D Studio MAX ( regular 3D Studio R2 , R4 are much cheaper ), although I don't know how much your willing to spend ! It's a really cool program . You just move ahead to as many frames as you want , then move your object , then 3D Studio does the rest . If your proccesser speed is at least 166 (recommended) it will run okay , but what you need is RAM . I run it with 32MB and 4MB of video . Although it slows down when you're working with something with a lot of polygons , it's really the best 3D program that I'd recommend .

Hi,
I believe MaxR2 (www.kinetix.com) is good, but if you want professional programs i suggest you the following:

BEST BUY(the cheaper): Lightwave 3d [see babylon5 fx] (1/2 of 3dsmax price, but worst modeling and animation, but one of the best Rendering engines in the industry '55% in the industry use Lightwave3d' , I also use it)

BEST MODELLING PROGRAM: Maya1.0 (by Alias Wavefront, the best program in the industry)

BEST ANIMATION PROGRAM: Softimage 3d (by Microsoft, the best in the industry)

BEST RENDERING PROGRAM: Renderman (the best in the industry)

BEST VIDEO PROGRAM: Digital Fusion (one of the best)

I hope i helped you.If you need any other help contact me.

Sincerelly
Andreas
