Which version of Delphi have you got?

To control this you typically use API calls to both manage special procedures and events.

Controlling MIDI is a bit different. You should have a component to control this (use the MediaPlayer), though using API here might be too difficult.

Hi Williams

I do use Delphi 3.0

The API calls in controlling such is -to some extend- complicated
do me a faivour by sending an exact example

About the MIDI : Mediaplayer won't take me deep enough to see what are the channels doing, I recently need to toggle them On and Off  and represent them in a graph .

Thanks.

Ok, then you'll need a component with full source instead!

Cut'n'paste this URL and download this component:
http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~dave.ch/midicom3.zip

It will let you skip all the nasty I/O stuff, jumping directly to the nice and needed functions.

regards,
Williams
